…mixed with catnip.
Actually, I found both Poppy and Tuffy enjoying a nap this morning while soaking up the warm sunshine on the sofa in the living room. Looks like a great way to spend the day after all the festivities, doesn’t it?
Wishing you all belated warm fuzzies this Christmas season!

My blog here will be short and sweet today, because I posted a new entry on the “Where In The World Is Kimberly?” blog this morning. I hope you’ll check it out. It’s entitled, “I volunteered to do…what?”
But in the meantime, while you’re here, check out these two fun finds from my trip to the [...]

That thought was the first thing that darted through my head when my eyes opened at the sound of the alarm yesterday morning. Yikes. As my mind came into focus, it was true. What on earth had I been thinking when I had volunteered — willingly — to chaperone a group of 50 high school [...]

My Mom and I have been making “Nuts and Bolts” every Christmas since I was a little girl. I’m not sure where she got the original recipe, but over the years, we’ve tweaked it a bit here and there until we came up with the version of the recipe we use today. Nuts and Bolts [...]

According to the dictionary, the word laden means “burdened; weighed down.” It seems the best word to describe the tree limbs and branches covered with snow!
After two days of continuous snowfall, we are living in the most beautiful, picture-perfect, wintry, Christmasy wonderland. Stuttgart and the areas surrounding it got anywhere between 6″ to 8″ of snow [...]

It snowed!
We heard there might be flurries, or even light snow yesterday. But the flakes fell softly, steadily throughout the day on Wednesday. And into the night. There were still flurries this morning when I got up at 5:45am. And everything is covered with a beatuiful white blanket.
I took these photos just past 7:00am this [...]

I met so many wonderful folks at the recent 2008 AQS Quilt Show in Des Moines. In particular, I got to know four sisters who took my mystery quilt class together. These talented ladies live in different states around the country and met at the show to enjoy a “sisters’ quilt reunion!” They were just delightful — and all four [...]

During our recent trip to London over the Thanksgiving holiday, we went to lunch at the Rainforest Cafe to celebrate Andrew’s 10th birthday. We had a marvelous time — especially Andrew — when the waitress brought out a banana split and everyone in the restaurant sang “happy birthday” to him!
While we were there I snapped [...]

I like hearts; the shape of hearts. I think they’re, well,…cute. When I designed my EZ Hearts Cut Tool, my goal was to create an easy way to cut a variety of different heart sizes. There is obviously a need in this world for a nifty method to cut fabric (and paper) hearts quickly and [...]

Yes, I have deadlines looming. I have a million things to do; emails to answer, phone calls to make, appointments to schedule, housework to do, and always piles of laundry calling my name. But this is one time when I just need to put all those “pressing things” aside and focus on the true reason for [...]
